Andor General - Sagrona Teema Edition
Andor General
Star wars is for ADULTS now...
Absolute
Unit
Cassian Andor? Who's that?
Out of drama school straight into star wars
How the fuck did she do it?
How the fuck did she do it?
she knows how to handle a saber if you know what I mean
11 was meh. Just dragging out Kleya's story and wasting time when we already knew those worthless ISB retards would job embarrassingly. Plot even keeps going and eats up half of 12.
Start the hype train for a Kleya v Dedra spin-off set in the chaos just after the Battle of Endor.
I FUCJKING HATE KLAYA AND THINK SHE WAS A GOOD CHARACTER IN SEASON 1 BUT SHE IT TERRIBLE IN SEASON 2 AND ANYONE SHILLING FOR HER IS A DAVE FILONI EMPLOYEE TRYING TO MANUFACTURE CONSENT FOR DAVE TO TAKE THESE ANDOR CHARACTERS AND RUIN THEM
Sagrona!
What was Perin's plotline meant to be at the end?
Is he just being a Silver Fox Gigilo on Corusant to keep doing his lifestyle, or what?
One of the screenwriters said he wanted there to be a scene where Mon went back to Chandrila and he would be sad and angry that she didn't trust him but whatever, who cares, Mon split, Davo split, now he fucks his sister-in-law to keep the kids from breaking up.
Fagloni wouldn't touch these characters
he fucks his sister-in-law to keep the kids from breaking up.
sounds like a plot to an anime
I
MISS
HIS
SMILE
Sangria!
Well they are pseudo-Japanese
TERRIBLE IN SEASON 2
the character was great until 10-12, which were plotted and written quite poorly, and especially so for her
nothing against the actress of course, who deserves plenty of praise
Do you have even a single prospect before you?
HES LITERALLY ME
She obviously had the chops, but they were up against a deadline to cast her. Gilroy said they had TWO different actors in that role who each got offered higher profile roles during pre-production and begged to get out of their contract, and he let them go.
So they turned a problem - imagine the scheduling headache of letting someone go and then their replacement also then asks to be released - into a win.
Apparently her role was smaller until Gilroy saw what she was doing and decided to write more for the character.
Will Andor help me rediscover the magic of Star Wars?
Maybe, it made me watch some more Star Wars, which I haven't done in years.
I think Andor is the best Star Wars because it’s a gritty, slow burner of a story with morally grey characters talking in a room all the time. It’s totally deep and shit.
Its cool the writers gave us a happy ending and made sure the babies father survived...
Do you think Luthen and young Kleya were ever forced to sleep in the same bed to keep warm?
Sort of. The ISB scenes reminded me of star wars.
I felt season 2 was disjointed and could have wrapped things up better. Loose ends going all the way back to season 1 (his sister).
I sure hope they tie up Mon's husband's (lack of) character arc in a neat little bow by the end of the season!! :D
Her hospital scenes were god tier and anyone who says otherwise is a massive faggot who deepthoats rancor cock on the reg.
I don't know why they needed the rest of the rebellion, she could have single handedly wiped out the entire empire military
Just watched Rogue One again
It's full of awkward moments but overall it works now that we have Andor. Back when it first came out I remember it feeling quite shallow, but now it's a nice end to Cassian's story, if a bit sad. Also when eventually they re-release Rogue One they should edit out the elevator scene where Cassian and Erso almost kiss, I felt bad for Bix getting almost cucked.
poojeeta
Kleya S1 where she works with Many Bothans™ to get the Death Star 2 plans
Kleya S2 where she has hot moist quivering lesbo sex with Dedra (bottom)
Trust the plan
Haters know nothing.
Andor the show is based due the fact that not once... not once fucking time ever during the ENTIRE run of the show did any female in the entire series run ever overpower a dude. Not fucking once.
She is Carrie Fisher's clone. I wonder if they regret making her a side character instead of keeping her in storage for an eventual Leia role.
a little kid overpowered Luthen in negotiating a sale.
was getting killed part of the emperor's plan
Does Andor make ESB and ROTJ superfluous?
Wait a sec…facism….le bad?….and…conservatives…..= the empire from Star Wars???….at last I see….
Bix and Kleya shoot their way past several male guards in the show.
Your cancerous dogshit propaganda show is over, these threads are no longer Anon Babble related. Fuck off already marketer
Sent
He was a commie soldier and she was from the streets. It makes sense that she had way more experience negotiating such things than him.
It is a period of civil war. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first victory against the evil Galactic Empire
Star Wars IV was clearly too political
This trash isn't remotely canon and not Star Wars. The Empire and Rebels were never like any of this.
Are you ESL? Do you know what it means to overpower somebody?
I physically NEED to get Kleya pregnant, you have no idea man
The problem is the narrative is staggered by having to get into Rogue One, Episode 10 feels like the climax and 11/12 feel like an extended aftermath
Do you prefer to think Deedra or Kleya was Andor’s long lost sister?
Are guns hard to get in the SW kinomatic universe?
Why not get rid of the evidence that ties you to a murder?
Say it.
This never happens in Andor. Which is why it's based.
.
Start doing this.
Deidre 100%.
It literally does every single episode. Or do you think all the scenes of the retarded girlboss Mary Sues shooting dozens of Imperial soldiers while walking confidently down hallways don't count? Disingenuous (((nigger)))
Its obviously Bix
I was literally thinking this today while daydreaming at work. I was imagining it.
Everyone saying Andor improves R1 but it’s still a slog of a movie with bland as fucking characters whose names I couldn’t recite with a gun to my head.
It’s nice to have 1 last adventure with Cassian but that’s about it.
You are a flaming homosexual retard. Men are not going bullet(laser) proof. You could not be more retarded having this concept go over your head.
Did Deedra have feelings for Syril or was she just using him?
This
Rogue One is great. This show isn't. Not only does it not improve it, it actively makes it worse if you take it into account at all. This shit does not fit with the rest of Star Wars in any way and is an abysmally stupid and shallow TDS seethefest
Yes.
How can you not remember their names? There's Cassian, the robot, bunnyfu, the blind Chinese guy, the other Chinese guy and maybe someone else.
No they weren't. Awful character, literally as insufferable and worthless as the lesbians
so is dedra supposed to be ysanne isard?
s2 was a massive letdown. ON PROGRAM was peak andor
she had feelings for him, hence the small breakdown when he died, and that moment he choked her was probably the wettest she had ever been
but someone like that probably doesn't have huge feelings, she loved him in her way but she probably can't feel it like a normal person
You can overpower somebody with a hail of blaster fire. It's a galaxy full of blasters. They're the great equalizer.
time to rewatch season 1, 2, Rogue one and A new hope in one unbroken sitting
i will be taking acid to keep me awake
im so fucking bored of seeing stormtroopers lose and do nothing. every fucking time. rogue one, both seasons of andor. come on, when will they matter? not a single stormtrooper shows his face in this show, they dont even really speak, you'd think they'd be a bigger deal compared to the imperial army guys in black.
I think Season 2's Ghorman arc was on par with the Prison arc, but it took up so much time that ultimately we lost more than we gained.
The whole 'every three episodes a year advances' idea was wasted. S2 episodes 1-6 are nothing burgers that could have been something burgers. There were no heists, no plots, no random acts of terrorism. Saw could have done something but instead he delivers one good speech and fucks off.
not a single stormtrooper shows his face in this show
Confirmed to have not watched this show, as Stormtroopers with no masks make up the final team that hunts down Andor and the Axis girl.
those arent stormtroopers you fucking nigger. nor do we ever see them with helmets on either, so even if they were in name, it wouldnt fucking matter.
It's Cereal's, not the murder weapon from the first episode.
There are weapons manufacturers who supply various organisations so probably have points of sale. Melshi is a con on the run from the authorities so he'd have to go black market. But why get rid of a weapon that works and you've grown familiar with.
Thematically it both shows his connection with Cassian, (he never ditched the blaster his bro that saved his life gave him) and is a coda to Syril's story; Syril never joined the Rebellion, but his blaster did.
I WANT STORMTROOPERS WITH NO HELMENTS
NO THAT DOESN'T COUNT!
With a gun to my head I would have to say S1 is stronger overall due to S2's slow start. But for me personally 'Welcome to the Rebellion' is my favorite episode of the entire series. Even ahead of The Gorman Massacre and even ahead of S1's One Way Out.
S2, ep.9 was just peak everything I love about tv and movies for me.
you are so fucking stupid its unreal. they dont even have the same equipment or undershirts. the point about them having helmets, is to signify to the viewer they are stormtroopers, despite their mismatched gear, but they ARENT.
I liked it, but season 1 was better. I think the time skips were bad.
Sex doesn't belong in Star Wars.
no, this is peak star wars
youtu.be
those arent stormtroopers
they obviously are
Seethe. You got your helmetless Stormtroopers and they jobbed.
Biggest mistake of Andor was not making stormtroopers feel like the Empire's SS. They should have had ISB agents or infantry fodder appear in most scenes, and whenever a stormtrooper squad would appear they would be terrifying. Instead they die in one shot. Yawn
That is exactly what I'm taking about never happens in Andor. Not even once. Which is completely unheard if in this day and age.
So I guess it's kept ambiguous whether Kleya is Cassian's sister or not?
And damn is Bix useless in S2, should have been cut,and the baby of ambiguous father at the end is cheap.
It does, and this sort of schoolmarm church lady faggotting is what made everyone hate these people for decades. They finally get a little bit of cultural purchase because people are sick of troons and fentanyl riots, and they wait all of five seconds to do the same shit again. We're going to spend our whole lives watching everything ping pong back and forth between two barely different types of faggot.
They are CompForce not stormtroopers
Stormtroopers AREN'T the Empire's SS, they're the equivalent of the Wehrmacht. The SS are a paramilitary political group, NOT part of the regular army.
Learn history before you say stupid shit.
The ISB were the SS.
Which is completely unheard if in this day and age.
It isn't. And Bix killed her rapist.
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Lieutenant Krole The Firm? I thought not. It’s not a story the Rebellion would tell you. It’s an Empire legend. Lieutenant Krole was a grand Officer of the Empire, so powerful and so horny he could use Sexual Force to influence the midichlorians to create life…
Aren't the Stormtroopers under direct control of the Emperor rather than being regular army?
TDS
I wish Donald was a smart as the Emperor, but he’s just a senile diaper wearing moron.
I love her and Luthen did too
Rogue One is great.
Opinion forfeit
ISB are more the Abwehr.
A Star Wars equivalent of the SS is an interesting idea but I don't think there are any actual equivalents at present. A precursor to the First Order COULD be a hypothetical idea, but we're in the realm of fanfiction at that point. Maybe the Sith such as Vader are kind of like the SS? Again, there is no real equivalent because Palpatine operates in practice more like Emperor Augustus than Hitler.
And the Wehrmacht was under the control of Hitler as he was commander in chief. So what? SS are PARAMILITARY, which means they are technically not formal military but an armed political party.
Hey lets just set it to stun instead of kill
Said no murder trooper ever.
Why don't the Space Cops use tasers?
HANDS UP DON'T SHOOT!
It's wild that you still don't know what overpower means. There are even perfect examples ITT.
can anyone illuminate me on why Sagrona got a cutaway scene at the end of S2? it didn't seem to really communicate anything, especially cut with all the other stuff through that sequence (death star, rebels, etc)
whats the value of a life when you're trying to dominate an entire galaxy? a stunned rebel has to be detained and handled. a dead rebel is dead
It has nothing to do with TDS, you're just consuming a lot of faggy rage slop youtubers and roman statue HECKIN BASED fags who are ruining your mind. By far the biggest accomplishment of both seasons is that their big political speech moments could easily apply to either side, which is a lost art now. But unfortunately we share a world with spiritually African "people" who have let gay memes drill holes in their brains and they see this shit in every shadow now.
Just to give closure to Mothma's family arc or else people would wonder whether her daughter and husband were killed or something
Bix overpowered and manhandled the rapist. And she was at her weakest at that point in the series lol
Americans live such sheltered comfy lives that a guy with orange makeup saying big words makes them think they are under fascist occupation and make countless TV series and movies about being the rebels
Lol
Rian Johnson ruined Star Wars and I will not watch until KK has been sacked
KK is the only reason andor exists
How do we reconcile all the sacrifices that Luthen & co. made with the fact that the New Republic collapses basically instantly and all their efforts meant nothing?
isn't this show over? do your shill contracts not run out til the end of the month or something?
Can you imagine this place with a couple of thousand of "them"
So if the Ghorman are space French, a French planet.
Then Aldhani is an Irish Highlands third world backwater full of dirty potatonigs?? They are literally trading in animal hides while the Emperor is uniting the entire galaxy.
I would say the empire was merciful to the Aldhani.
big words
speaks at a 5th grade level
They might be big to you Cletus.
You are a gay femboid that has never handled a pipe wrench. Getting hit in the head with one will likely kill you or give you permanent brain damage if you are lucky.
Sequels are a "what if" series. They aren't canon.
more like the SD
We ignore the sequels entirely. If you can't, you just have to take a more nuanced, less childish outlook on things, time doesn't freeze, the credits don't roll - the Empire fell, things got better, but rebuilding a government at galactic scale is going to take a long time. They started a rebellion that killed the Empire and will ultimately succeed in restoring the republic, even if it takes two hundred years.
I dunno, that fight was okay I think, in that once she actually hit him he just started flinging her around the room and fucking her up.
She got lucky with a panicked hit to the head with a tire iron or whatever it was and then he reacted reasonably accurately and stumbled around a bit before collapsing.
By overpowered, for the jeets at the back, I believe Anon was referencing the silly girlboss stuff where a woman physically beats up and downs a man.
I know most of us here are not likely to be hugely fit, though some of you probably are a little, but if you've had or have a gf / wife etc, or some other relationship with a woman in which you can manhandle them, it's honestly a little surprising how much weaker they are than even the average man. You could absolutely fuck a woman up with some full force blows.
As seen in the complete threat even Syril was to Dedra. Meek beanpole guy and if he was mad he could indeed totally put her through the window, quite convincing.
How am I supposed to go back to Filoni Mandoverse and Ahsoka adventures after this?
luthen would probably shit on the new republic too. he just wanted to defeat the empire. he's probably most happy with the galaxy in a state of self-determining anarchy
Andor is the only Disney SW that I feel comfortable placing next to Lucas' SW.
None of that is canon. Borne out by the fact that "Death Star Destroyers" will NEVER EVER EVER be canon. None of it ever happened.
Aldhani is pretty clearly a reference to both the general treatment of the Irish but specifically to the Highland Clearances of Scotland. It was even filmed in Scotland.
Though I doubt that changes your point.
No one said it would be easy.
I liked that the very first openly gay Star Wars imperial they made no big deal about it.
He sounded VERY gay in those last episodes.
Another lecture?
Were he and Lonny…you know?
Bringing up gay femboids out of nowhere
You hiding something, lil bro? Not even sure what your argument even is because you're agreeing with me. Bix won against her rapist in their fight.
why would anyone care? a dude fucking a dude is probably way less weird than whatever the fishpeople aliens get up to. its probably considered a virtue to fuck your own species, regardless of gender
he was the gayest at the posh party
They weave in the diversity nicely, its cool to see them be just another bag of meat on a trillion soul galactic hell war.
Imagine getting killed by a fucking droid.
In any battle.
Imagine being a Jedi and dying from a droid.
This entire interior dropship scene was kino. Very Cameron Aliens vibes.
if I can't goon to children's shows you're a schoolmarm church lady
Grow up.
Imagine being a Jedi and dying from a droid.
shouldn't droids be particularly difficult for a jedi though? the jedi relies on the force to inform them in battle but droids are just hunks of forceless metal
Considering how dangerous they are, you’d think imperials have some kind of kill switch or EMP weapon specifically to deactivate their droids.
Its a great shot. So many kino shots. I tried to get people to watch it they look at me like I am a retard.
the very first openly gay Star Wars imperial
I'm bi.
they probably do but they clearly didn't expect to be dealing with a rogue droid. and with comms down, they couldn't communicate up the line
How do guys know any of the characters' names?
he doesn't memorize every Glup Shitto
>the very first
the first order happens decades later
S2 was weaker, but still pretty good.
The biggest drop in quality is the music, since the S1 composer wasn't involved, save for a few tracks. And the only reason they dropped him is that his father died, so couldn't work when they needed him to.
You raise an interesting point, you'd think handheld Ion blasters would be more common in a militarised society that went through a war against droid armies twenty years ago.
Perhaps it's the usual Imp complacency, all the droids are no longer threats, except for ours kind of thing.
Bix won from a lucky hail may blow from a pipe wrench when she was well on her way to getting manhandled and cornholed. Saying she overpowered him is completely disingenuous
I couldn't be happier. Fuck Luthen and everyone who worked with him. They are all absolute garbage people, utter dregs, and deserved to due irrelevant failures for their crimes against the galaxy. They are the villains and rightfully lose.
I have been trained since childhood to memorize every Greedo, Boushh and Dengar
Everybody on Coruscant knew he was in a sham marriage that the ISB kept him alive after Mon Mothma defected, as a cautionary tale on being cucked.
I had to use the wiki a lot until I rememebered
I think the way her actor plays it, especially her delivery of "your hurting me" plays it that she was genuinely hurt by him switching up. Thing is i think if he had lived and came back she would of had a lot more respect for him as well.
Nah. Droids are slow and predictable, most like B1s are cheap and not that efficient, they can't think beyond their programming. The whole theme of the PT era was the advancement of military - clones are vastly superior to droids. The only advantage droids have is numbers. Good droids are VERY expensive, which is why they are so rare (Magnaguards, BX-commandos, droidekas, K2 units), and living beings still can easily outmaneuver them, because living beings are smarter.
In her defense Imperial Lieutenant Krole is only 5'8" tall.
Fighting a manlet is like fighting a roastoid.
by pretending that star wars ends at RotJ.
Fuck the Vongs
Fuck the First Order
Fuck the Force gods
Was he fucking his daughter's mother-in-law in the final episode or was that someone else?
This garbage isn't Star Wars, that stuff is. If you aren't a fan, then fucking leave. Andor and it's tranny shills don't belong and we don't want you, this mindnumbingly stupid and utterly soulless show nearly has done more damage to the franchise than the sequel trilogy.
The only thing I don’t get is what was the purpose of the wedding arc
Gilroy went on record saying he didn't have modern politics in mind when he was writing the show. TDS faggots usually love taking credit and patting themselves on the back for being brave and progressive.
kys Filoni you bald cuck
I think I saw a quick flash of orange pussy in there
Mothma thought the wedding kept her safe from being caught but it ended up with her letting her friend get killed instead of her getting caught.
Rushed plotline though
whats a tds faggot
Yeah, it was Sculdun's wife.
I love the blasters that look like lugers
oh yeah well you're this caricature I just made up filled with IMPLYING and THINK OF THE CHILDREN so there!
I guess one of the roman statues posted a soijak with "grow up" on it, you jeet bots have been repeating it a lot these last few days.
What is TDS
What a dirty bastard
:(
Thank you for proving his point. This awful, non-canon pile of shit only exists because of her just like the rest of the awful non-canon piles of shit she cranked out.
But what does that have to do with anything
THROAT DEEZ SUCKERS
Trump Derangement Syndrome, there are people who have gone insane over Trump, but unfortunately there are also people who have gone insane over those people. They're always online and always talking.
Him killing Lonnie was the bridge too far. It's the moral point of no return where you know a character is doomed and has to die.
Rushed plotline though
as always, a streamer show fucks up pacing. the rebel plotline of the first 3 eps do nothing, the 12th ep does not, and 90% of the plot happens in 10/12. they should have spread the ghormun story out through the whole season, as well as made luthens downfail a slower burn
Star Wars now has rape
non-canon
literally tells the story of the deathstar, setting the stage of ANH
retard
You're delusional if you think for one second that those themes weren't introduced for terminally online twitter liberals to write "omg so powerful and so relevant to our current government!". Stop being an NPC
It's just a reason to have a ton of characters in once place for the 3-day timespan of the arc. To reintroduce them to the audience, establish their relationships etc. Killing Tay adds spice, and the celebrations and Mon crashing out at the end are a contrast to the other plotlines.
The wedding itself is not especially important for being a wedding.
those guys were ISB's own operators.
ISB Tac team
CIA SAD/SAC
Stormtroopers
They aren't true special forces in the sense of a small fire team raiding HVTs and doing sabotage but more like a mix of elite infantry/marines. Their whole thing really is that they can move and deploy quickly via the star destroyers instead of mass transit like the Imperial Army so their real life analogue is something of the role of the USMC but with the budget of the Rangers.
Imperial Army
literally just grunts, like all the black and brown mutts you see on military tik toks that just goof off. A wide diversity of training from straight up adult day care level retards to guys that are arguably better then Stormtroopers.
He didn't have time to extract Lonni and his family and it was clear that his family was his weak point. And he wasnt spilling the beans about the Death Star.
Luthen is a rat bastard but that's the entire reason why he managed to organize a galaxy wide rebellion.
Stop being an NPC
Said the NPC. Quads wasted on being a memed out faggot, sorry to see it.
this was the coolest looking gun in star wars
Having rebels vs empire alone is enough for them to get the circlejerk going tbhq
His mother was right about Cyril. If he listened to her then he would be on Coruscant with a good job and wife.
fascism is a 'theme' that reaches through all modern history. the only reason you think its contemporary is because modern politics is echoing the mistakes of the past
Mom is always right
Presumably it was to show the rift between Mon and her daughter/husband grow even wider
But they didn't give that whole thing a satisfying resolution (any resolution) so you're right that it was all completely pointless in the end.
Stay mad libshit, you know that I'm right.
Fascism is a political doctrine that started in Italy in 1919 and ended in 1945.That's it.
1919
thats what terminally online twitter liberals are writing about
you lost the plot on your own argument
Exactly. These tranny shills will never admit it though. It's pure cancer and the reality is the left are the genocidal villains irl
so the empire are the leftists?
Explain why the empire enforcing border controls and checking for illegals was portrayed in a negatively
It was too show how Mon Motnma could just leave it all behind. Her husband was a vapid airhead and she was astranged from her daughter. It was all played very subtly and not ham fished or obviously. Maybe too subtlety since it seems a lot of people missed the point. Even the ones that were paying attention.
Luthen was in the deepest shit he'd ever been in after he meets with Lonni, right? Seems like it would've made sense for him to take a chance and work with him to try to escape. Like you might as well try it, not really anything to lose. Lonni would have had at least some resources at his disposal for the next few hours.
Narratively, that would've been far more interesting than what we got. And I wouldn't call it character growth, but it would've been interesting to see another instance of "pragmatic mercy", the same that was shown to Andor at the end of season 1.
How many episodes even is Ghorman? It's very broad
ok is the empire is right wing then? which is it?
No. The Empire are the good guys.
good
Letting your opponent have enough time to grab a weapon and kill you
That's literally the definition of the rapist getting overpowered. Simple as.
i just wanted to say this series is unwatchable purely for the fact he’s french. what a daffy accent. that is all. enjoy
Lonni admits that the ISB is on him. If they get found it's over. He had to go to the store and destroy all his radios first, and surely didn't have time to extract Lonni especially after mentioning Yavin to him.
I wish they never made season 2, season 1 was perfect.
Lonni's force ghost on Yavin
This show isn't political!
Immigration enforcement is portrayed negatively
Sure. Play stupid all you want but that doesn't mean that everyone else has to play along with you
>Immigration enforcement is portrayed negatively
When?
I'm not a lib, and the only thing I know is you're a faggot and black, in mind and spirit if not in body.
the leftists are the genociders!
but the show shows the empire as the genociders
ok genocide is good actually!
poltards are so annoying
More Scottish highlanders than irsh one Aldani even speaks scots Gaelic for a sentence
Same logic as the classic 'How does this affect you personally?' Step over.
You don't have a single original thought in your head, legitimately a brain dead retard, not even human.
Andor friends in the first 3 episodes where trying to lay low from Imperial border officers.
I didn't understand why he used him as a human shield in that scene when we've seen him just tank blaster shots.
I didn't say the show isn't political, retard. its literally about a rebellion against a fascist goverment, you fucking dumb bitch
Because it was used as a pretext for mistreatment of citizens by an overreaching government following a long propaganda campaign. You see what you want to see.
The Empire is satire on right wing fascism, yes.
being this mad after being proven wrong
lol can't be me
Is the Empire ever said to be implicitly fascist or just imperialist?
terrorist paramilitaries hiding from the cops = immigration enforcement bad
if it's cool but I still don't like it then it is a 'satire'
That's not what 'satire' means.
Wait so what was the point of season 2?
What did the information Luthen died for even change? It seems like the Rebels didn't even believe any of it and everything that would have happened in a New Hope would have just played out exactly the same if they never got that info, so what was the point?
I guess he was too on the outside with the main rebellion at that point. Like he might not have even been allowed at Yavin because they all hated him and then showing up to the secret rebel base with an active imperial officer might have seemed out of the question.
The irony is Lonnie is the sole reason Luthen was even still on Corusant. Because Lonnie was his prime asset and he was his handler. And it actually ended up paying off that he stayed. Fucked up that he felt he had to kill him though.
It's an combination of Imperialistic, Colonialist, Fascistic and Nationalist tropes. It's neither entirely one or another. And the leader is literally an evil space wizard.
He thought it would be fun
No, you've just let a dying porn website take a shit in your brain because you weren't smart enough to take it for what it is. The internet was fine for a time because the requirement that you sit at a computer and use it intentionally served as a semi-effective filter, the ability to ingest faggy, frozen in time 4chins memes from a cellphone while idly scrolling has just utterly lobotomized marginally retarded types like yourselves. Everything you say and think and post here is something you saw in a meme or a greentext.
I like that actually
Not once did the space ICE agents believe that Bix was a terrorist. They said that they knew that she was an illegal immigrant
Does any character ever say the Empire is fascist? I can't think of one
The Galactic Empire is Imperial Rome with elements of Nazi Germany, and Palpatine is Hitler + Augustus + Richard Nixon.
Despite the name, the Empire is not really 'imperialistic' because that would imply it has colonies. The issue is 'Empire' and "imperialistic" are related but different; Empire means you have a state with multiple different ethnic groups and nations under one banner, imperialistic means you're expansionist and/or colonial.
read the wikipedia page on fascism before replying to me again. I'm not taking time out of my day to define fascism for you just because you choose to be dumb
Even if you have armor, why not use more armor/cover if you have it? It's not like he's immune, he gets killed by concentrated and repeated fire later on in the movie.
Didn't the humans of the Republic expand and colonize into the Confederacy of Independent Systems, placing aliens into a second-class citizenship under a human sovereign from Naboo?
The only reason they followed up the lead was that it came in at the same time their mole in Saw's group was freaking out trying to contact them. They were ignoring him, and the Death Star went operational like 3 days later. If they hadn't acted they would never have got the plans and so Yavin would have been glassed with Luke etc on it.
The show is a examination of the concept of rebellion as seen by the showrunner via Star Wars, the actual connecting plot thread to ANH is just that, a connection rather than the point.
Ah well nevertheless
why does every argument with a poltard always end with
ok I don't know what fascism is and you need to explain it to me or you lose
The word fascism never appears in Star Wars. But the implications.
I don't think so, and it would be a mistake if they did, I feel. Both because that ties it to an actual ideology and because the Empire is not entirely strictly fascistic.
this is up there with
he can't be a nazi because he's not wearing the swastika armband
What are Luthen's politics?
Low IQs don't know what it is to be right, they think it's just word games and being exhausting enough for the other party to close the tab. You can sort of see a vague connection to the old problem of a hollywood theater kid trying to write a smart character, they can't do it because they don't know what it is. Same vague template here.
antifascist
apart from that, who knows
Two scenarios here
A) lonni's on luthen's side, which means he has to dedicate resources to getting him, his wife and child off of coruscant and taking them to yavin. Resources he could instead dedicate to getting kleia off of coruscant. he has to do this whilst destroying evidence, potentially including himself. he then has to explain to mon mothma why he's putting an isb operative on yavin. Then best case scenario lonni is killed and his wife and child are imprisoned. worst case scenario he slows everyone down, kleia and luthen are captured and tortured.
or
B) Lonni is not on luthen's side. lonni now knows the base of the rebel alliance is on yavin 4, the entire alliance up in smoke.
killing Lonni means, His wife and child are safe. he doesn't slow anything down, kleia can potentially leave for yavin and the rebel alliance is safe.
The CIS were all part of the Republic for ten thousand years the only worlds that weren't part of the republic were Hutt worlds, Mandalorian Empire, extreme outer rim, and Dathomir
I appreciate what the show wants to do, at times it achieves it, but most of the time, it's not nearly smart or good enough for how smart and good it wants to be.
a serious star wars show for adults that are ashamed of being star wars adults
He literally says his beliefs in his gay little speech
Accelerationist agitator against a government that commits atrocities.
Corroborating evidence. Like why would anybody believe the word if some random imperial truck driver and then risk everything on it. The pilot was doomed to rot in crazy ass Saw's jail at that point while getting mind raped nightly by a blob monster. It's because of Luthen that Cassian even got to that point. It was Lonnie that name dropped Galen Erso. We go up to that point was a literal shi that nobody had ever heard of. It's not like Galen Erso was famous or something. The name only meant something because of Lonnie. Who was the sole reason Luthen stayed on Corusant and ended up dying.
Anarchist
how can he be anachrist when christianity doesnt even exist in star wars
It most certainly does
This show ruined Rogue One for me. The pacing is so fucked when watched straight through from the end of S2. It needs another hour and to slow things waaaay down. The cartoonishness is also more noticeable, a firefight with 20 stormtroopers would've been portrayed as impossible in Andor but Chirrut just wacks em with a stick.
Plus, Cassian doesn't feel like Andor Cassian. Jyn is the leader in Rogue One which makes zero sense given Cassian and Saw's history with Yavin. Diego Luna's nice but I almost wish they had made the exact same show about someone with a different name, it's just too jarring.
Those were part of the Republic too, Mandalore even had a senator
Freedom Fighter!
During the Clone Wars era?
I can't believe they made a movie and 2 season TV show around the actor that played that airport worker in the Terminal lol. They just let anyone be a star these days
There are always discords and schizos that have their pet topics, and they usually just repeat the same shit over and over.
lol the scene where Jyn beats 20 stormtroopers with a stick while Andor watches with a dumbfounded "whoa, women can do that?!" after the super tense finale where 5 stormtroopers were depicted as a major threat (until robobro anyway) is hilarious
Made even better because the stupid fucking "jyn beats up 50 stormtroopers with a stick" was literally the exact same scene Rey had. But I'm glad it was there because it proves that women are strong and powerful and dont need no man.
Andor became a side character in that movie, like most of his non-andor arcs.
Yes.
They need a Jyn show to equalize them again
Maybe she can munch on carrots for 5 seasons to grow stronger
Guys, it's time to forget about Rogue One and A New Hope. Andor Season 3 is coming out soon, what do you think is going to happen?
He Sagrona Teema'd his daughter's mother-in-law
Anarchism
He was a Sergeant in the Imperial Military committing genocide against a human planet while saying 'torq me nuts' or something. What was that about?
But the Resistance still won in the end
Yeah Rogue One is a pretty stupid movie
Didn't the humans of the Republic expand and colonize into the Confederacy of Independent Systems, placing aliens into a second-class citizenship under a human sovereign from Naboo?
Yes, but different kind of 'colonization'. Again, similar words with almost opposite meanings. "Colonizing Mars" is different from "colonizing India". The Empire under Palpatine was actually quite vulnerable, as Andor shows, and not in any position to engage in expansionist wars. I think if the Death Star was successful that would have changed, but as it stands the Empire was like the Roman Empire at its height - impressive but immobile. Palpy couldn't even conquer Hutt Space.
You jest, but we all know that there's people right now working on comics or books that show Kleya setting up the Bothan spy network and Vel leading black ops teams.
Star Wars Rebellion was better
Along the way we have placed a series of comfort units
Taverns with cheap local beverages
They beat the injuns with firewater
Irish
Highlands
consult an atlas, nigger
My problem with this show, summarized:
Sometimes there IS good writing that's worth thinking about, with depth, and subtlety
but sometimes it's really, really fucking bad and stupid
And because it's at times really fucking bad and stupid
I stop paying attention other times when I might pick up details of interest
I can't believe I am going to argue in favor of a lack of subtlety but they went too far with it.
It was also cringe at points. "We have rape and drug use, see, we are a serious adult show"
Ultimately it still is star wars and fun should be allowed
Very torn. I guess I appreciate what it tried to do
OK. The "rebellion" are he bad guys. Darth Vader was the good guy.
Rebellion was so good
It could have used some rape drugs now that I think about it
Can I finally allow myself to love Star Wars again?
it wasnt perfect, therefor it wasnt good
kill yourself
just say you're a fascist. thats a lot easier than trying to say the empire is good. jsut because its your personal politics doesn't make it inherently good
It's a joke about how the English demean the Scots as drunks. That arc was based on how the British government shifted the Scottish population to the lowlands to work in cities or sent them 'offworld' and then annexed their lands for their own preferred economic use.
they put rape in star wars wtf that isnt even hecking trad and based wtf kek kek cope kek based sneed kek!
no, andor was a fluke and all we've got in the pipe is filoni slop
it wasnt perfect, therefor it wasnt good
kill yourself
That wasn't my point at all? lmao
It's actually very bad at points, quite far from "not perfect"
Enjoy the autism though
Why does the empire's tech look so low tech and shit? Their operations room just looks like there's an game of asteroid being played in the background. The Prequels had much cooler tech
Luthen
Imperial army
Han Solo
Imperial army
Were the army bitter about all the world invasions?
Can you provide specific examples of this really bad writing? For me I think it was this new French resistance planet where everyone wears berets and speaks space French. Almost stopped watching because of it.
Enjoy the good, ignore the bad. I don't know how any true Star Wars hasn't mastered this skill yet, even before Disney we had to ignore a lot of books, keep Heir, ignore the holiday special, and so on. Any story that lasts for more than a year is going to have this.
I know right? There can be snow planets and sand planets, but a planet where people have an accent? I just can't buy it.
Holiday Special is good. You got meme'd into thinking it was bad.
its star wars, nobody except palpatine's efforts ever amounted to anything.
Can you provide specific examples of this really bad writing?
not really, it's not interesting enough to be memorable when it's bad
There's lots of dumb shit I could point out but it seems beside the point
Let's take the entire character of bix
dogshit. Not because of some objective failure, because there's just nothing there, at all. Except a lot of wasted time.
But at least little Andor Jr can show up in the sequels that wont happen. Its' fun to see the writers and directors dream.
filoni slop
I've been out of the Star Wars sphere for 7ish years. What happened with Filoni? /swco/ niggas used to suck him off nonstop and couldn't wait for him to take over Lucasfilm.
One thing I noticed this season was that the ISB offices felt completely empty. Was this meant to reflect that more and more people were being 'disappeared' as paranoia and suspicion was increasing? Or were the ISB offices always empty and I just didn't notice?
No, it's bad, you got meme'd into thinking you need to counter signal every prevailing opinion you see or else you'll be the hated normie.
You literally did the meme
every line of dialogue uttered by the retarded loser rebels that fight each other in the first 3 episodes for that pointless plot that goes nowhere
"the goodguys are sometimes bad too"
profound. Keep it to 1 scene next time.
Space Mayan Ruins? GOOD!
Space Dambusters? GOOD!
Space Syria? GOOD!
Space Switzerland? GOOD!
Space France? BAD!
This unironically
Luthen who couldn't kill himself
Actually, he probably has a thermal detonator implanted in his asshole because he could be caught any time
Yeah that was weird to me. Why did he waste so much time in his store burning shit? Surely he would have had the place rigged to blow the entire time at a moments notice. And when Meero showed up outside his store he knew he was burned, so why not shoot her or shoot himself the moment he saw her? IT JUST DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE.
because its based on a movie from the 70s
They weave in the diversity nicely
I couldn't place my finger on it but something about Andor diversity felt a lot more organic than anything else's attempt at diversity in the last 15 years.
filoni rose to prominence making cartoons. when he moved into live action, he brought his cartoon aesthetics with him. and now he's helming the direction of the whole franchise, seeking to further cartoonize it into oblivion
there's bad blood between him and gilroy (andor guy) because of how tonally different their approach to SW is
I found it strange how there were almost no fucking aliens. I thought the galaxy was sprawling with quintillions of aliens, but based on Andor I'd say aliens are a tiny minority and Humans are the completely dominant species.
The planets were human planets (if we can still refer to the french as human)
Vallen
Meshga
Depe mor ly mun ly sol legena
Yeah that too but I figured it was mostly a budget thing + basically all rebels in ep 4 were human so they can't have too many anyways
Humans are the completely dominant species.
in all of star wars history, have you ever seen a single alien storm trooper?
people never talk about it, but I was so impressed by the germanfrench language they invented for no reason
what happened to the black hobbits, gandalf?
The Empire didn't genocide anybody. Barring that this show is deeply non-canon with actual Star Wars, Ghorman attacked the Empire and got what they deserved.
Its to create tension during the senate extraction because it enforces that Luthen has no problem with killing even very valuable assets if they become a problem.
realistically Mon Mothma once she leaves the senate isn't really a help because she would be cut off from her wealth anyway and she clearly has no sense for actual military strategy so killing her would actually be the right play from Luthen and she knows that. Having the subplot of Tae being killed reinforces this enough. we of course know she makes it out but the drama of the scene is exactly how Mothma is going to fuck this up somehow and it reinforces the theme that the rebels are just as dangerous to each other as the Empire.
The Empire was behind the attack on the Empire on Ghorman, that's how Syril died. They were the outside agitators
No. Luthen and Andor and their retarded gang of lesbians were the outside agitators. Quite literally the Empire did nothing wrong, got attacked, and won. Fuck Ghorman, I wish I had been there to blast them myself.
It's budget. Any alien on screen means makeup and prosthetic which aren't cheap. It's why the cartoons, comics, and books have aliens everywhere but OT and Andor don't.
The Empire didn't genocide anybody
you're a special kind of retarded
THAT WAS SELF DEFENCE!
Syril supplied the gang with their information and weapons, Andor was just there to get a feel for them from Luthen, they were barely involved.
the planet of alderan shot first
Alderaan was hording breathable air.
That's not genocide. That's just a demolition. Not their fault the protestors wouldn't move out of the way of the wrecking ball.
It looks empty to me
I don't see any bodies
barely involved
ships in crates of guns, mercenaries, credits, supplies, and leads a heist to show them how to do it
Come on now faggot
Star Wars canon states that Coruscant is one of the likely home worlds of humanity, and we are the ones that brought that galaxy together politically.
ships in crates of guns
They took the guns from an imperial transport, you even watch this movie?
No, you just misunderstood the meme because you're subpar in the brains category. If you can't understand the difference between basketball americans in fantasy and people in the galaxy having an accent, you're too stupid to be speaking with me.
people in the galaxy having an accent
They speak space french and wear berets, it's a little on the nose.
Yeah, and the real world basis for the cultures and people we see in Star Wars has always been so subtle to, what were they thinking
I can accept mockery of the Jews and other perfidious browns in my fantasy, but I will not accept the mockery of any European peoples.
be all powerful [british] empire
defeated by koalas and fish aliens
star wars isn't for you
I agree, and that's why Star Wars is dying. White men aren't watching it anymore.
Presumably it was to show the rift between Mon and her daughter/husband grow even wider
But then why show Perrin looking concerned for her as she danced? Why show her and Perrin being quite amicable in the speeder on their way between Investiture parties? Why show Perrin trying to calm her down around Krennic?
They insinuate that getting the Intel from Luthen was the only reason why they sent Andor to talk to his crazy informant who provides details on the death star in Rogue One. Had they not already suspected something was up they wouldn't have bothered, and they would have never gotten the plans for the death star
white men are a minority and not a demographic worth pursuing. in case, if you snub them, they'll make it their lifes work to advertise your product for free across the internet
The Yavin castaway plot line was ruined by that one bit of opening dialogue where they do the LE QUIRKY AND FUNNY "no don't tell him we have 15 guys" shit right from the start. not only does it smell of sequel trilogy "do i talk or you talk" whedoneque tension dispersal but it just undermines the entire situation afterwards for 3 episodes.
the only way i really see that arc working, besides cutting it to one episode is that you initially show them as meaning business, because they are putting up a front and have them feel like a credible threat and then gradually introduce that they are actually not that competent or are desperate with them initially lying about their situation. The Arc blows its load by establishing that they are chucklefucks right from the get go so the audience is put in the position of just waiting for it to be over rather then wanting to see what happens next
Yeah I'm sure Star Wars is real big in China, they'll pump those numbers
The majority of this series atleast seems to either take place on Coruscant (literally the human homeworld) or in the Core/Colonies region which are basically human heartland. The republic itself was founded primarily as a joint Human/Duros project as those two species were first to the punch for hyperdrives
disney could do cyberpunk rebels vs Espo and the Corporate Syndicate Authority. decades after the cyberpunk fad ended.
you're either a white male or you're a chinese mainlander
god you poltard are so fucking dumb
keep seething
A 1313 series focused on criminal edge runners, dodgy fixers working for gangs, corporations, the Hutts or acting as a cutout for either Rebel/Imperial intelligence while focusing on how the regular people in poverty actually live on Coruscant with a counter theme to Andor showing that flags changing on the surface really does nothing to improve the lives of those that waste their lives either working or stealing to survive would be fun. it could lead to fun heists/missions, character drama ect
China loves Star Wars
I don't think he looked concerned for her as she danced. Him being amicable in the speeder is just him being amicable, they don't want to kill each other but obviously it's loveless. Him wanting to calm her down around Krennic is as simple as him caring about status and appearances and not wanting her to make a scene.
the cyberpunk fad ended
when did it start?
Are we the baddies?
How do we reconcile all the sacrifices that Luthen & co. made with the fact that the New Republic collapses basically instantly and all their efforts meant nothing?
Disney canon is below the lowest ranking of George's hierarchy of canon is how. Only his final sequel trilogy treatments matter.
Imagine getting killed by a fucking droid.
After fighting them for years in the Clone Wars, and people terrorized by them to the point of being 'racist' against clankers (like in the bar scene with C3P0 & R2 in A New Hope).
I AM anakin skywalker
I AM anakin skywalker
I AM anakin skywalker
I AM anakin skywalker
You raise an interesting point, you'd think handheld Ion blasters would be more common in a militarised society that went through a war against droid armies twenty years ago
Them developing personality without inhibitor chips and regular memory wipes is supposed to be hazardous enough that it shouldn't be a problem. And it takes a lot of resources to make dedicated well coordinated enough for combat droids at any scale presumably . . . still, Star SWAT ought to have them on tap for negligent maintenance and criminals fidddling around with them.
My Stardussy.
I found it strange how there were almost no fucking aliens.
The Chinese guys from Jedha were originally supposed to be aliens (machine gun guy a Yeti looking fool, the other an inguana-ish little guy). They're expensive in CGI or practical effects to do.
The Empire didn't genocide anybody.
And in a galaxy of beyond trillions one shabby little seditious planet getting deleted is statistically meaningless, hence the brutality. Doesn't matter if you have lightspeed, nothing scales properly-- to the point of outer systems being wild west with Hutts and such.
It's a shame Underworld wasn't greenlit. It was the right Shadows of the Empire Redux to properly prepare the next generation of films and media. Blame Boomer Iger for pushing shit out prematurely.
STAR WARS - DROID REBELLION
GALACTIC WAR - DROIDS VS. MEATS
(Could do alternate force timeline jump universe stories type of show like SpiderverseSlop)
Our hero is a lowly robotic food delivery bot that is abused by the meat sweat human chuds. We get cameos of all our favorite meat slaughtering robo heros from the SWCMU along the journey.
Everything he makes is just member berries, mandoslop, and ahsoka wank. It's the complete opposite of Andor.
I'll always remember in KOTOR II, Mira says she literally doesn't know what species Hanharr is or what planet he's from.
say the word
says two words
andorfags will defend these plotholes
