Can an argument be made that he’s the most comic accurate Batman?
Can an argument be made that he’s the most comic accurate Batman?
no
If by comic accurate you mean the gayest then yes
The thing is there are so many comics out there that wanting a comic accurate batman is a ridiculous statemant
The Batfamily is retarded, and should never be brought to film.
YOU ARE NOT MY FATHER ALFRED !
He’s how an actual mentally ill man who fights crime would be,
I liked the Batman more than I thought I would. There were some really nice shots in it. It could’ve been a lot worse even though the plot was pretty convoluted at times and it ran about 20 mins too long. All that said, it was solidly better than TDKR even though I prefer that film for maymay purposes. Of all the Batman fillums, I’d put the Batman in the top three with the other two being debatable.
You can make an argument out of anything.
I wouldn't agree with yours, OP.
It’s time to go back
Comic Batman's a nerd hero. Nerd heroes are always the bleeding heart types with no-kill rules. Keaton's Batman was a Btaman made for the masses, not nerds. Therefore, he killed the bad guys because that was what they expected from your average action hero. Normal people prefer it when the hero kills the very evil bad guy, and get frustrated when he doesn't to be the "better man". As if killing the psycho serial killer terrorist doesn't make you a hero to most. Comic Batman is Batman for dorks. Keaton/Kilmer's Batman is Batman for normal people.
I think this is the only Batman I've seen who straight up doesn't give a fuck about his business or maintaining his Bruce image. Barring shit like scenarios where the world is post apoc or something and there's nothing to run anyway.
The movie sucked.
White people doing the knockout game is just a bridge too far.
Hell no. Batman has quite literally never been a whiny emo peeping Tom who wears eye liner, not even in any Elseworlds to my knowledge.
Comic Bruce would never listen to Nirvana.
i still haven't watched this hoe. i can't believe they made a whole Batman movie where the main villain is Edward fucking Nigma. LOL
The same Anon Babble leaker that leaked daredevil teaming up with bullseye in born again season 2 said peacemaker season 2 confirm him being the Batman in the James Gunn Superman movie.
thread
No, that argument can't be made
You can make that argument about every single Batman in film. There are nearly 100 years worth of Batman comics.
But these, however, are very clear departures from the vast majority of Batman's depictions in the past 100 years.
None of the live action Batmans are comic accurate. I just want 1 Batman movie where the characters are the way they are in the Arkham games or the animated series. Batman is a cool, calm, smooth talking detective with cool gadgets, lots of stealth takedowns and top level martial arts. I'm sick of gritty brooding tacticool Batman. Not one single Batman film has starred Batman as the main character.
He fight with zero martial arts skills, so NO
I'm sick of gritty brooding tacticool Batman
He's like that in the comics too.
*batarangs you in the dick* Don't care.
Reeves is no longer directing the sequel because wb took too long and his wife got cancer
ffs
Grow up, spaz.
Yes, in the sense that he's carry exclusively by plot armor
neither did Bale's Batman
3 years should be the turnaround.
I guess Gunn's involvement fucked everything?
agreed
Why is Hollywood so shit at everything it does?
There have been so many different versions and phases of Batman over the centuries that it's hard to gatekeep anything as non comics accurate. There are even some comics where he does kill.
a very strong argument can be made that Batman kills in most of his movies; unintentionally and intentionally. The no kill no guns rule is pretty stupid. The cops kill with guns and Batman is on their side despite the fact that idiotic writers regularly have Batman crying to his villains because they use guns to kill.
overall? no his suit is gay
and hes too much of a recluse
and the batmobile is too realistic
No, he's not even Bruce Wayne
comic books can be spotty and incomplete but generally they aren't as badly written as that. WB reached a new low.
His Batman? Easily, not like theres much competition out there
His Bruce Wayne however no.
At least he does some detective work in that film.
Badly
Absolutely not.
His personality is inaccurate, way too angsty and unfocused, and being a dick to Alfred for no reason.
Equipment is inaccurate, suit is too heavily armored (this is a problem with every movie Batman but this one takes it up to eleven by taking machine gun fire and explosion at point blank). They went with a realistic-ish flight suit instead of the cape glider, plus some other minor stuff.
He's not smart enough. Comic Batman would have know that "el rata alada" is wrong without Penguin having to tell him.
They fundamentally changed his origin by making his parents murder be a targeted hit instead of a random mugging, and made his mom crazy and a member of the Arkham family. All of that is very inaccurate.
Riddler being an incel is inaccurate.
Gordon being black is inaccurate.
t. the riddler
He just started being Batman, give him a break
and being a dick to Alfred for no reason.
The one thing I didn't like. No need for it.
grounded slop
absolutely not
Theres like a zillion versions of batman in the comics. Even in a single story line he'll be written by a few different authors. Comic accurate doesn't mean anything if its not adapting a specific story.
The fuck was all that training for then?
guess he only trained fighting
Wrong. There are consistent elements to Bruce Wayne's Batman.
acts exactly like Batman when he's bruce
he has that playboy persona for a reason
He already has a long history with Joker, not to mention his reputation in the city. It's just writers being incapable at writing a smart character as always.
